Isaac Newton –  episode 2

Our little Isaac, abandoned by his mother in the care of his grandmother, grew up quiet, thus showing at least, but in his inner the situation rather was much different, causing him a strange and wayward character. Oh! This stepfather of him, the honourable Mr Barnabas Smith… he didn’t suit with him at all. He held a grudge for his mother who left him alone to get married with Barney.

Indeed, even that he was just a small kid, he did retain a sin-diary where noted his sins. Therein he was writing bad notes for both, his stepfather and his mother Mrs. Hannah Aiskof, former Newton and later Smith.

So young and so unsociable he was that instead of playing ball, cops and robbers, or the doctor, together with the other kids, preferred to play the inventor and manufactured its own small objects. From his youth he had the defect of scientist.

Around the age of twelve, up to his seventeen, he left grandmother Martzery (do they had a quarrel? Was he bored of her? Who knows?) and he went to the nearby Grantham, where he studied at the Royal School, living as a boarder in the house of the local pharmacist. Then, at those times, pharmacists were dispensers, not neat traders as they are nowdays, and young Isaac contacted with various chemicals, noting that physical chemistry was something much suitable for him. Fortunately for us that he was not accepted as intern at the tailors’ of the village because he could be a perfect seamstress, but we perhaps would still be waiting for someone to discover and deal with the spectrum analysis and teaching us more about colors.

Nick Chalas: Isaac was a freak of nature. He had brilliant mind, well known for his work in the law of gravity. Presumably based on his observation of the falling apple. These texts bring back high school memories.
