Στην αρχα\u03afα ελληνικ\u03ae μυθολογ\u03afα, \u03ccπως πολλ\u03ac απ\u03cc τα ουρ\u03acνια σ\u03ceματα, \u03adτσι και τα ουρ\u03acνια και ατμοσφαιρικ\u03ac φαιν\u03ccμενα συχν\u03ac προσωποποιο\u03cdνται και πα\u03afρνουν την μορφ\u03ae \u03ccμορφου παλικαριο\u03cd \u03ae κοπ\u03adλας.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

\u0388τσι και η \u038aρις, το ουρ\u03acνιο τ\u03ccξο, προσωποποι\u03aeθηκε και π\u03aeρε τη μορφ\u03ae \u03ccμορφης κοπ\u03adλας που αρχικ\u03ac ε\u03afχε ταυτισθε\u03af η \u03afδια με το παν\u03adμορφο ατμοσφαιρικ\u03cc φαιν\u03ccμενο, εν\u03ce αργ\u03ccτερα η αντ\u03afληψη αυτ\u03ae \u03acλλαξε και η τα\u03cdτιση της \u03afδιας της θε\u03acς με το πολ\u03cdχρωμο φωτειν\u03cc φαιν\u03ccμενο διαφοροποι\u03aeθηκε και εθεωρε\u03afτο πλ\u03adον πως το ουρ\u03acνιο τ\u03ccξο \u03aeταν το φ\u03ccρεμα της θε\u03acς \u03ae ο δι\u03acδρομος τον οπο\u03afο δι\u03adτρεχε η θε\u03ac με πολ\u03cd μεγ\u03acλη ταχ\u03cdτητα.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

(Στα χριστιανικ\u03ac χρ\u03ccνια το φ\u03ccρεμα της \u038aριδας \u03adγινε το ζων\u03acρι της Παναγι\u03acς.)<\/font><\/p>\n

Στα μ\u03acτια του απλο\u03cd ανθρ\u03ceπου η \u038aρις, το ουρ\u03acνιο τ\u03ccξο, φα\u03afνεται σαν να συνδ\u03adει τη γη με τον ουραν\u03cc και απ\u03cc αυτ\u03ae τη θε\u03ceρηση καταλαβα\u03afνουμε γιατ\u03af οι πρ\u03ccγονο\u03af μας την φαντ\u03acσθηκαν σαν αγγελιαφ\u03ccρο μεταξ\u03cd θε\u03ceν και ανθρ\u03ceπων, πολ\u03cd πριν την εμφ\u03acνιση του Ερμ\u03ae και την αν\u03acθεση σ’ αυτ\u03ccν των αγγελιαφορικ\u03ceν καθηκ\u03ccντων.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Η μεταγεν\u03adστερη αν\u03acθεση των καθηκ\u03ccντων μεταφορ\u03acς μηνυμ\u03acτων στον Ερμ\u03ae δεν σημα\u03afνει και την αδρανοπο\u03afηση \u03ae απαλλαγ\u03ae της \u038aριδας απ\u03cc τα καθ\u03aeκοντα αυτ\u03ac.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Μ\u03acλλον φα\u03afνεται αυξ\u03aeθηκαν οι μηνυματικ\u03adς αν\u03acγκες του Ολ\u03cdμπου και διπλασι\u03acσθηκαν οι Ολ\u03cdμπιοι ταχυδρ\u03ccμοι, που \u03ccπως οι σημερινο\u03af ταχυδρ\u03ccμοι φορο\u03cdν στολ\u03ae και κρατο\u03cdν τον χαρακτηριστικ\u03cc ταχυδρομικ\u03cc σ\u03acκο, \u03adτσι και οι δυο τους, τ\u03ccσο η \u038aρις \u03ccσο και ο Ερμ\u03aeς, φορο\u03cdσαν χρυσ\u03ac φτερωτ\u03ac π\u03adδιλα και κρατο\u03cdσαν κηρ\u03cdκειο.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Η διαφορ\u03ac της \u038aριδας απ\u03cc τον δι\u03acδοχ\u03cc της ε\u03afναι \u03ccτι εν\u03ce εκε\u03afνος συναναστρ\u03adφεται με θνητο\u03cdς, εκε\u03afνη εμφαν\u03afζεται αν\u03acμεσ\u03ac τους μ\u03ccνο για να τους αναγγε\u03afλει την επικε\u03afμενη \u03acφιξη \u03ae παρουσ\u03afα θε\u03ceν.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Η \u038aρις επ\u03afσης ε\u03afναι η αγγελιαφ\u03ccρος που χρησιμοποιε\u03afται απ\u03cc την \u0389ρα και αυτ\u03ae προτιμ\u03acται απ\u03cc τον Δ\u03afα για την μεταφορ\u03ac μηνυμ\u03acτων στις δυσκολ\u03ccτερες αποστολ\u03adς.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Iris into myths<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In ancient Greek mythology, as many of the celestial bodies, the celestial and atmospheric phenomena are often personified and take the shape of a handsome lad or a beautiful young woman.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
