«\u038cταν κλε\u03afνει \u03adνας δρ\u03ccμος, ανο\u03afγει \u03adνας \u03acλλος που μπορε\u03af να αποβε\u03af λεωφ\u03ccρος», μου ε\u03afχε πει για να με εμψυχ\u03ceσει ο φ\u03afλος μου ο Μαν\u03ccλης Π. τ\u03ccτε στα τ\u03adλη της δεκαετ\u03afας του ’90, που \u03ccντως περνο\u03cdσα πολ\u03cd δ\u03cdσκολες στιγμ\u03adς.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Μια \u03acλλη φ\u03afλη, η Σωσ\u03ce, θ\u03adλοντας να με βοηθ\u03aeσει, με π\u03aeρε απ\u03cc το χ\u03adρι (για την ακρ\u03afβεια με \u03adβαλε π\u03acνω στο μηχαν\u03acκι της) και με οδ\u03aeγησε στην ΑΤΡΑΠΟ (μονοπ\u03acτι) που με τη σειρ\u03ac της με \u03adβγαλε στη λεωφ\u03ccρο, \u03ccπου \u03adνα απ\u03cc τα τελευτα\u03afα οικοδομ\u03aeματ\u03ac της ε\u03afναι τα “<\/span>xromata<\/span>.<\/span>com<\/span>”.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Το μονοπ\u03acτι απ\u03cc το οπο\u03afο ξεκ\u03afνησα \u03adνα ν\u03adο οδοιπορικ\u03cc ονομαζ\u03ccταν ΑΤΡΑΠΟΣ και \u03aeταν \u03adνα περιοδικ\u03cc \u03ccπου με σ\u03cdστησε η φ\u03afλη μου για να εικονογραφ\u03ce κ\u03acποια \u03acρθρα.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Χωρ\u03afς να το καταλ\u03acβω καλ\u03ac – καλ\u03ac, βρ\u03adθηκα σχεδ\u03ccν απ\u03cc την αρχ\u03ae της συνεργασ\u03afας μου να αρθρογραφ\u03ce. Το πρ\u03ceτο μου \u03acρθρο ε\u03afδε το φως της δημοσι\u03ccτητας τον Δεκ\u03adμβριο του 1998 και ε\u03afχε τ\u03afτλο:<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

«ΤΑ ΧΡΩΜΑΤΑ ΤΗΣ ΙΡΙΔΑΣ»<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Το περιοδικ\u03cc κυκλοφ\u03ccρησε στα τ\u03adλη Νοεμβρ\u03afου και απ\u03cc \u03adνα λ\u03acθος στη διανομ\u03ae καθυστ\u03adρησε δυο – τρεις μ\u03adρες να εμφανιστε\u03af στα περ\u03afπτερα.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Αργ\u03ac το μεσημ\u03adρι του Σαββ\u03acτου, που τελικ\u03ac κυκλοφ\u03ccρησε το περιοδικ\u03cc, \u03acνοιξαν οι ουρανο\u03af και μια νεροποντ\u03ae μο\u03cdσκεψε την Αθ\u03aeνα.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Μ\u03ccλις τ\u03adλειωσε η μπ\u03ccρα, το μεγαλ\u03cdτερο, παχ\u03cdτερο και λαμπερ\u03ccτερο διπλ\u03cc Ουρ\u03acνιο Τ\u03ccξο που \u03adχω δει ποτ\u03ad μου, εμφαν\u03afστηκε στον Αττικ\u03cc ουραν\u03cc.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Τρελαμ\u03adνος απ\u03cc τη χαρ\u03ac μου, τηλεφ\u03ceνησα στη φ\u03afλη μου τη Σωσ\u03ce, που \u03adμενε στο \u03acλλο \u03acκρο της Αθ\u03aeνας και μου επιβεβα\u03afωσε \u03ccτι το υπ\u03adροχο εκε\u03afνο Ουρ\u03acνιο Τ\u03ccξο φαιν\u03ccταν και απ\u03cc την \u03acλλη \u03acκρη της π\u03ccλης.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Το <\/i>post<\/span> <\/span>αυτ\u03cc ε\u03afναι μια μικρ\u03ae εξομολ\u03ccγηση, μια σημαδιακ\u03ae στιγμ\u03ae της ζω\u03aeς μου που \u03adμεινε ανεξ\u03afτηλη στη μν\u03aeμη μου και θ\u03adλησα να την μοιραστ\u03ce μαζ\u03af σας πριν αναρτ\u03aeσω τα αποσπ\u03acσματα του \u03acρθρου εκε\u03afνου που αναφ\u03adρονται στην \u038aριδα και τα χρ\u03ceματ\u03ac της.<\/o:p><\/i><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n

My first article. (Confession)<\/span><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

"When a road closes, there is another one that can even be an avenue," my friend Manolis P. told me then, in late 1990’s, when I was really going through quite hard times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another friend, Soso, wanting to help me, she took me by hand (in fact she put me on her motorbike) and led me to the ATRAPOS (path) which in turn put me to the avenue that one of its latest buildings is "xromata.com".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The path on which I started a new trek was called ATRAPOS (means path way in ancient Greek) and was a magazine where my friend recommended me as an illustrator for some of its articles.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Without being able to figure it out, I almost found myself writing in that magazine from the beginning of my collaboration. My very first article came up to light in December 1998 and was titled:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

"THE COLORS OF IRIS"<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The magazine was released at the end of November, and by a delivery error was delayed for two or three days to be shown up in the sale kiosks.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was late Saturday noon, when eventually the magazine released. At that time the skies were opened letting a downpour of cats and dogs over the city of Athens.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As soon as the heavy rain was over, the largest, thickest and brightest double Rainbow I have ever seen, appeared in the Attic sky.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Caught with joy, I phoned to my friend Soso, who was living on the other end of Athens, and confirmed that the wonderful Rainbow appeared on the other side of the city as well.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This post is a little confession of a remarkable moment in my life, that has remained indelible in my memory and I wanted to share it with you before posting the extracts of that article referred to goddess Iris and her colors.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
