Πριν περ\u03afπου μισ\u03cc μ\u03aeνα (και περ\u03afπου \u03adνα τρι\u03aeμερο κατ\u03ac το παλι\u03cc ημερολ\u03ccγιο) τ\u03adλειωσε ο Ιο\u03cdνιος μ\u03aeνας, ο μ\u03aeνας που \u03aeταν αφιερωμ\u03adνος απ\u03cc τους Ρωμα\u03afους στην θε\u03ac \u0389ρα, η οπο\u03afα του \u03adδωσε και το ρωμα\u03caκ\u03cc \u03ccνομ\u03ac της <\/span>June<\/span>><\/span>Junio<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Κατ\u03ac τους Ρωμα\u03afους, η θε\u03ac ως επ\u03afσημη σ\u03cdζυγος του Δ\u03afα και επομ\u03adνως πρ\u03ceτη κυρ\u03afα του Ολ\u03cdμπου, θεωρε\u03afτο προστ\u03acτης του γ\u03acμου. Κατ’ επ\u03adκταση οι Ρωμα\u03afοι θεωρο\u03cdσαν ευλογημ\u03adνους  τους γ\u03acμους που ετελο\u03cdντο κατ\u03ac τον ομ\u03ceνυμο με την θε\u03ac μ\u03aeνα.  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Στην αρχα\u03afα Ελλ\u03acδα ο ευλογημ\u03adνος μ\u03aeνας για τους γ\u03acμους \u03aeταν ο \u03adβδομος μ\u03aeνας του Αττικο\u03cd και Δ\u03aeλιου ημερολογ\u03afου που συν\u03adπιπτε με την δικ\u03ae μας χρονικ\u03ae περ\u03afοδο απ\u03cc 15 Ιανουαρ\u03afου \u03adως 15 Φεβρουαρ\u03afου. Ο μ\u03aeνας αυτ\u03ccς ονομαζ\u03ccταν Γαμηλι\u03ceν και \u03aeταν ο ιερ\u03ccς μ\u03aeνας της \u0389ρας Γαμηλ\u03afας, προστ\u03acτιδας των γ\u03acμων.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Με αφορμ\u03ae λοιπ\u03ccν τον μ\u03aeνα της \u0389ρας, που αφ\u03aeσαμε π\u03afσω μας πριν λ\u03afγο καιρ\u03cc, αλλ\u03ac και τον σημεριν\u03cc γ\u03acμο εν\u03ccς ζευγαριο\u03cd, φ\u03afλων του <\/span>site<\/span>, τα <\/span>xromata<\/span>.<\/span>com<\/span> <\/span>θα ασχοληθο\u03cdν σ\u03aeμερα με… τι \u03acλλο παρ\u03ac το χρ\u03ceμα του νυφικο\u03cd!  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ο γ\u03acμος με νομοθετικ\u03ae ισχ\u03cd καθιερ\u03ceθηκε στην αρχα\u03afα Α\u03afγυπτο και απ\u03cc εκε\u03af εξαπλ\u03ceθηκε στους υπ\u03ccλοιπους πολιτισμο\u03cdς της εποχ\u03aeς θεωρο\u03cdμενος σαν \u03adνας θετικ\u03ccς και σταθεροποιητικ\u03ccς παρ\u03acγοντας για τις κοινων\u03afες, καταλ\u03aeγοντας απ\u03cc την ρωμα\u03caκ\u03ae εποχ\u03ae και \u03cdστερα, με αποκορ\u03cdφωμα τον μεσα\u03afωνα, να σημα\u03afνει κ\u03acτι περισσ\u03ccτερο –ιδια\u03afτερα στις αν\u03ceτερες τ\u03acξεις- απ\u03cc την \u03adνωση του ζευγαριο\u03cd.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ο γ\u03acμος, π\u03adρα απ\u03cc την \u03adνωση δυο ανθρ\u03ceπων, σ\u03aeμαινε την \u03adνωση δυο οικογενει\u03ceν, δυο επιχειρ\u03aeσεων, ακ\u03ccμα και δυο κρατ\u03ceν. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ο γ\u03acμος, ιδ\u03afως στην τ\u03acξη των ευγεν\u03ceν, τις περισσ\u03ccτερες φορ\u03adς \u03aeταν μ\u03acλλον θ\u03adμα πολιτικ\u03aeς παρ\u03ac \u03adρωτα. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Αναμεν\u03ccμενο \u03aeταν π\u03acντα να ντ\u03cdνονται οι ν\u03cdφες κατ\u03ac τρ\u03ccπο που αναδε\u03afκνυε, \u03ccσο πιο \u03adντονα γιν\u03ccταν, την τ\u03acξη της οικογ\u03adνει\u03acς τους γιατ\u03af κατ\u03ac την τελετ\u03ae δεν εκπροσωπο\u03cdσαν μ\u03ccνο τον εαυτ\u03cc τους αλλ\u03ac και το κοινωνικ\u03cc τους περιβ\u03acλλον.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Οι περισσ\u03ccτεροι δυτικο\u03af \u03acνθρωποι της εποχ\u03aeς μας, \u03adχουμε την εντ\u03cdπωση πως το σ\u03cdνηθες χρ\u03ceμα του νυφικο\u03cd \u03aeταν π\u03acντα το λευκ\u03cc, \u03ccμως η εμφ\u03acνιση του λευκο\u03cd νυφικο\u03cd στην μακρ\u03ac ιστορ\u03afα των γ\u03acμων ε\u03afναι πολ\u03cd πρ\u03ccσφατη. \nBefore nearly half month (and about three days of the old calendar) ended the month of June, the month that was dedicated by the Romans to goddess Hera, which gave to it her Roman name Juno> Junio = June.<\/span>
\nFor Romans, the goddess as the official wife of Jupiter, therefore the first lady of Olympus was considered as the protector of marriage. By extension, the Romans believed that their marriages were blessed if they were done at the goddess name bearing month.<\/span>
\nIn ancient Greece, the blessed month for weddings was the seventh month of the Attic and Delian calendar, coinciding with our period from January 15th to February 15th. This month was called Gamilion (mating month) and was the holy month of Hera Gamilia (of Wedding), patron of marriages.<\/span>
\nWith the occasion of the just passed month of June and today’s wedding of a couple, friends of the site, “xromata.com” will work today on… what else but the color of the wedding gown!<\/span>
\nMarriage legislatively established in ancient Egypt and from there spread to other cultures of that time, seen as a positive stabilizing factor for societies, resulting from Roman times onwards, culminating in the Middle Ages to mean more, especially in the higher classes, than the union of the couple.<\/span>
\nA marriage beyond the union of two people meant the union of two families, two businesses, even the union of two states.<\/span>
\nMarriage, especially in the class of nobles, most of the times was more a matter of policy rather than love.<\/span>
\nWedding laws, and customs, took a local character, depending on the local culture, religion, superstitions, traditions and customs.<\/span>
\nWhilst all these (laws, customs, etc.) differed by region, the only thing that maintained its power everywhere and always was the wedding dress, the dress of the bride at the time of the ceremony.<\/span>
\nColor, style and ceremonial importance of the bridal dress were associated with the religion and culture of the couple.<\/span>
\nIt was always expected that the dress of the bride was in such a way that emerges as more intensely could, the class of their families as at the ceremony the couple wasn’t representing only themselves but also their social environment.<\/span>
\nBrides of wealthy families often wore dresses from expensive fabrics, painted in rich, strong colors from expensive dyes and usually the edges of the dress were made of different valuable materials (furs, silks, velvets) and intense colors.<\/span>
\nOver the centuries, brides continued to wear dresses that highlight their social status quo, made from expensive materials that could be purchased from her social class, because the quantity and cost of the used fabric reflect the wealth of the family of the bride.<\/span>
\nPoor brides wore as gown on their wedding day, the best dress they had, usually the festive dress worn in church services.<\/span>
\nMost Western people of our age think that the common color of a wedding dress has always been white, but the appearance of the white wedding dress in the long history of marriage is very recent. The “life” of the white fashionable bridal dress counts only since 1840, from the marriage of Queen Victoria of England and after.<\/span>
