\u0388να \u03acλλο μ<\/span>\u03aeλο, γνωστ\u03ccτερο στον ελληνικ\u03cc κ\u03ccσμο πολλο\u03cdς αι\u03ceνες πριν απ\u03cc το παραδε\u03afσιο, \u03aeταν το μ<\/span>\u03aeλο της \u0388ριδος. <\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Στο γ\u03acμο της Θ\u03adτιδας και του Πηλ\u03adα ε\u03afχαν καλεστε\u03af πολλο\u03af \u03acνθρωποι και \u03ccλοι οι θεο\u03af εκτ\u03ccς μιας θε\u03acς, της \u0388ριδας, θε\u03acς της διχ\u03ccνοιας, επ\u03afτηδες για να μην προκαλ\u03adσει κ\u03acποια ταραχ\u03ae κατ\u03ac τη δι\u03acρκεια του χαρμ\u03ccσυνου γεγον\u03ccτος. Αμ δε που γλ\u03afτωσαν! Το \u03adμαθε η \u0388ρις, τσαντ\u03afστηκε που δεν την κ\u03acλεσαν κι αντ\u03af να χαρε\u03af που δεν \u03aeταν αναγκασμ\u03adνη να π\u03acει γαμ\u03aeλιο δ\u03ceρο, εμφαν\u03afστηκε ακ\u03acλεστη και π\u03adταξε το περ\u03afφημο μ\u03aeλο<\/span> της, π\u03acνω στο οπο\u03afο \u03aeταν χαραγμ\u03adνη η επιγραφ\u03ae «τη καλλ\u03afστη» αν\u03acμεσα σε τρεις θε\u03adς, την \u0389<\/span>ρα, την Α<\/span>φροδ\u03afτη και την Α<\/span>θην\u03ac. Το τι μαλλιοτρ\u03acβηγμα \u03adπεσε αν\u03acμεσα στις τρεις «μεγ\u03acλες» για το ποια ε\u03afναι «η καλλ\u03afστη» δεν περιγρ\u03acφεται. \u0388ως τον Τρωικ\u03cc π\u03ccλεμο μας οδ\u03aeγησε ο τσακωμ\u03ccς τους.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

\u0388τσι λοιπ\u03ccν στη μια περ\u03afπτωση, τη χριστιανικ\u03ae, ο δι\u03acβολος ως \u03ccφις, \u03adσπειρε τις διαβολ\u03adς του πε\u03afθοντας την Ε\u03cdα να δαγκ\u03ceσει το μ<\/span>\u03aeλο της Γν\u03ceσης, εν\u03ce στην \u03acλλη, την αρχαιοελληνικ\u03ae, π\u03acλι με μ<\/span>\u03aeλο εξ\u03acπλωσε η \u0388ρις τις διαβολ\u03adς της, αν\u03acμεσα σε θεο\u03cdς και ανθρ\u03ceπους. Μ\u03ccνο που και γι’ αυτ\u03cc το μ<\/span>\u03aeλο της διχ\u03ccνοιας δεν υπ\u03acρχει καθαρ\u03ccς χρωματικ\u03ccς προσδιορισμ\u03ccς, αν και σε κ\u03acποιες περιπτ\u03ceσεις αναφ\u03adρεται ως χρυσ\u03cc<\/span>. Β\u03adβαια, ως χρυσ\u03ac<\/span> αναφ\u03adρονται και τα μ\u03aeλα<\/span> των Ε<\/span>σπερ\u03afδων, που σ\u03aeμερα τα ταυτ\u03afζομε με τα πορτοκ\u03acλια<\/span>, των οπο\u03afων το χρ\u03ceμα ποικ\u03afλλει απ\u03cc το χρυσοκ\u03afτρινο<\/span> \u03adως το πορτοκαλοκ\u03ccκκινο<\/span>.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

Μ<\/span>\u03aeλα λοιπ\u03ccν, π<\/span>ορτοκ\u03acλια και οι \u03acλλοι μηλοειδε\u03afς καρπο\u03af (στους οπο\u03afους αναφερθ\u03aeκαμε στο προηγο\u03cdμενο \u03acρθρο) παρουσι\u03acζουν μια μεγ\u03acλη χρω<\/span>μα<\/span>τικ\u03ae<\/span> ποικιλ\u03afα. Αν δε, συλλογισθο\u03cdμε πως τα μ<\/span>\u03aeλα και τα \u03acλλα φρο\u03cdτα αν\u03aeκουν στο φ<\/span>υτικ\u03cc βασ\u03afλειο, αυτ\u03ccματα αναρωτι\u03ccμαστε π\u03ceς \u03acραγε χρωματ\u03afζεται το πολ\u03cdχρωμο αυτ\u03cc βασ\u03afλειο των φυτ\u03ceν<\/span>; Η τερ\u03acστια χρωματικ\u03ae γκ\u03acμα που το χαρακτηρ\u03afζει πο\u03cd να οφε\u03afλεται \u03acραγε; Τα α\u03afτι\u03ac της ε\u03afναι τα \u03afδια με αυτ\u03ac του \u03acλλου πολ\u03cdχρωμου βασιλε\u03afου, του ζωικο\u03cd;<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Another one apple, known in the Greek world quite many centuries before the apple of Paradise was Eris’ apple, the apple of dispute. <\/span><\/span>
\nAt the wedding of Thetis and Peleus were invited many people and all the gods except Eris, the goddess of dispute, in purpose to not deliberate any cause for riot during the joyous event. But the quarrel was not avoided! As soon as Eris noticed the happening, pissed that she was not called to the wedding, instead of being happy that she was not obliged to offer a wedding gift, she appeared uninvited and threw in the middle of the guests gathering her famous apple, on which was engraved the inscription "Kallisti" (to the most beautiful) among three goddesses, Hera<\/span><\/span>, Aphrodite and Athena. What a quarrel started between the three "majors" for who was the "Kallisti" it cannot be described. <\/span>That quarrel led us to the Trojan War.  <\/span><\/span><\/span>
\nSo in one case, the Christian site, devil as a serpent, persuaded Eve to bite the apple of knowledge, while in the other site, the ancient one, once again with the apple of Eris discord was spread between gods and humans<\/span>. There isn’t a clear color definition for that apple of Eris although in some cases is referred as gold. Of course, as golden mentioned as well the apples of Hesperides, now associated with oranges, whose color varies from golden yellow to red orange. <\/span><\/span>
\nSo Apples, oranges and other round fruits (which we mentioned in previous article) have a wide color range. If we bethink apples and other fruits belong to the plant kingdom, we would wonder how is colored this colorful plant kingdom? Which is the cause of the enormous range of color that characterizes flora?
