Translation into English

Iris flies towards East

I said already that Iris is going to preoccupy us, perhaps more than what I thought.

Charmed, I did follow her trip towards East.

The reason for such attendance was given to me by a comment sent to the blog where the change of the interim consonant from R to S converted her name from Iris in Isis.

The surprise grew up with the discovery that certain features and symbols of Iris, this very old deity, are found as well to Isis, the great goddess of the Egyptian pantheon, such as feathers, scepter – caduceus and its association with snakes and the relationship to sunlight.

Isis was the daughter of Geb or Seb and Nut (earth or sun and sky) and the appearance of Iris (rainbow) depends on two factors, the sun (sunlight on earth) and heaven.

The fight of Isis with Hurricane brought peace. Iris (who shows off triumphant after each storm, bringing calmness in the sky) mediated for light (god Apollo) to be born.

Studying Ogygia *, we find a binding relationship between Io and Isis, so we conclude that we are dealing with mutations of a sunlight deity.

Like the change of R to S identifies Iris with Isis, the same the change of Greek vowel I (iota, sounds e) to H (eta, sounds ee) identifies Io (Ιώ), the princess of Argos (means the shining white or bright light) to Eos (Ηώ), the goddess of dawn.

Io, priestess of Hera, having mated with Zeus, was hunted by Hera, the great goddess who served, transformed to a cow until she arrived in Egypt where she got back to her previous human form after giving birth to Epaphos. Then she mutated to great goddess Isis.

Thus, traveling from west to east, from Greece to Egypt, towards the dawn of light, the rose fingered (as called by Homer) Eos (dawn), the shining Io (the silver light of morning) and Iris (the colored bright appearance after the dark storm) transformed to Great Mother and daughter of Sky, Isis.

The only difference between the two deities is their religious history, while Iris began as a great goddess; she became a smaller one after the male dominance, giving her place to her male shape, the newcomer Hermes, Isis being at the beginning a small local deity of Nile’s delta, became a great deity, reaching the peak of her greatness at the Roman period, when people desperately were looking forward to redeem under the light of a new high Divinity, looking back for Light in the darkness that was speed by powerful Rome.

* Extract from Ogygia:

But Hera sent an ox fly after her (Io) and she run over here and over there … … and after wandering in many places and the seas of Europe and Asia, she came in Egypt where she got her previous (human) form by the contact of Zeus, she gave birth to Epaphos … and finally called Isis and honored as a goddess.
